Never have recycled cans, hubcaps, and bottles of all shapes and sizes sounded so amazing. Järvlepp’s concerto is a masterpiece of whimsical repurposing and ingenuity. Pair it with Rachmaninoff’s lush, lyrical, post-Romantic symphony and you have a concert experience you will never forget.

Järvlepp – Garbage Concerto: A Concerto for Recycled Trash and Orchestra

I am the Orchestra Director at Rainey-McCullers School of the Arts. I was a concert violinist in the past. Had being a former pupil of Zvi Zeitlin (Eastman School of Music) and Louis Krasner ( New England Conservatory) and in Juiliard with Dorathy DeLay and others, I had being a winner of some competitions in a past. Attached please find a copy of my bios for self-introduction to Maestro. Since I am a new member of this city, I am wondering what was the service rate for professional musician? And since I have a full time teacher’s job, is it possible for me to be part of this Symphony orchestra. I am looking forward to hear from you . Attach my bios below:
Mr. Chao’s introduction to musical instruments began at the age of seven. After graduating from Shanghai Conservatory of Music, he was a chamber, solo player and Associate Concertmaster for Shanghai Opera House Symphony Orchestra since 1974. In 1983 he was invited by the Boston Symphony Orchestra and performed in the internationally known Tanglewood Music Festival for two years. Subsequently, he won the prestigious Jordon Hall Chamber Music Competition and was the winner in Boston Best Soloist of The Year Competition. Following this, Bo was offered a full scholarship at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. Later, after successful audition he got the Principal Violinist position in the Spokane Symphony Orchestra where he performed Brahms Violin Concerto with the Spokane Junior Symphony Orchestra in concerts. Later, he was offered a scholarship to The Juilliard School of Music at New York City. He finished his Master’s Degree in Performance and Literature at Eastman School of Music, Rochester, New York.
As a guest member of the Eastman Orchestra Germany Tour, he performed all over Germany including the Stuttgart Music Festival. Mr.Chao was invited to perform at the Sarasota International Chamber Music Festival, and The Music Academy of the West at Santa Barbara, California. Prior to the call of full time teaching he was a core member of the Florida Philharmonic Orchestra for 14 years.
Mr. Chao has performed with some of the world’s most famous musicians including Tenor Pavarotti, Celin Dion, violinist/viola Pinchas Zukerman and Itzhak Perlman. In 2012, he was the concertmaster of “Ultimate Broadway Music Concert Series” at Shanghai, China’s International Music Festival. In 2013, he is the artist/mentor, the Principal violinist with the Ars Flores Symphony at Nova University.
And that was a segment of my bio written by former employer before I went to Houston Texas as an Orchestra Director. Now I am teaching at the Rainey-McCullers School of the Art’s as Orchestra Director. Thank you for reading.
