Christina Ottaviano has performed and taught throughout Georgia since 2002. In addition to the Columbus Symphony, she is also a member of the Atlanta Opera Orchestra and the Atlanta Ballet Orchestra. Her students have been placed in the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra, the Georgia Youth Symphony Orchestra, and the Metropolitan Youth Symphony Orchestra and have gone on to pursue music degrees at Florida State University, the University of South Carolina, and Boston Conservatory.
Mrs. Ottaviano received her Bachelor of Music in Double Bass Performance from the New England Conservatory and Master of Music in Double Bass Performance from the University of Georgia.
Mrs. Ottaviano has been Secretary of the Atlanta Federation of Musicians, Local 148-462 of the American Federation of Musicians, since 2012. Previously, she served as an AFM Local Executive Board Director and Regional Orchestra Players Association Delegate for the Atlanta Ballet Orchestra.
