Sharon Crane began playing with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra in 1984 when she came to study at Columbus State University (Columbus College back then). She studied with Pat Cobos and Manuel Diaz and graduated with a BS in Criminal Justice in 1988. She worked a variety of jobs in and around Atlanta, maintaining her love for the CSO and driving an estimated 250,000 miles over the years to perform with the ensemble. She is currently a Claims Analyst for a medical billing company in Carrollton, maintaining her residence in Newnan for the past 20 years with her now 82 year old father. She is actively involved with her church in Fayetteville, having recently returned from a mission trip to Southeast Asia.
